The West Virginia University Extension Office in Harrison County and United Hospital Center will be holding a series of free cooking classes aimed at helping those with diabetes and their family members learn how to plan meals, shop for food and better educate themselves in dealing with this disease. The classes meet once per week from 5-7 p.m., starting Feb. 21 and continuing on Feb. 28, March 7, March 14 and April 1 at the hospital. There will be a three-month followup class on May 2. The classes are free.
