About Anne Romance
Anne Romance has always been a gardener, growing her own food, as was also the tradition in her family growing up. In the 70’s she was introduced to the healing herb plants by Noel Tenney at Fort New Salem’s herb garden, from which she received plants to start her own healing herb garden. Anne started growing and using herbs for her health and the hobby grew into a business, Green Heron Gardens, which continues to provide healing herb plants, products, and classes for the public to this day.
Over the past 25 years she has attended numerous national and international herb conferences where she was introduced to wonderful teachers and herbal practitioners. She pursued ongoing study with several instructors including Rosemary Gladstar and Pam Montgomery, both from Vermont. Anne immersed herself in learning about the healing properties of herbs for body and spirit, as well as their cultivation, harvest and preparation.
