A benefit Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction will be held May, 20th at First United Methodist Church, 64 Rebecca Street, Shinnston to benefit Nola “Marshall” Yeager. In April of 2013, Nola suffered from a massive stroke that left her partially paralyzed and with extreme aphasia, which is the inability to speak. Nola had always been a hard worker and is well known in the community, having worked for years at Pizza Express and at Shinnston Subway up until her stroke. She had also worked at the old Tuccillo’s Pizza in Shinnston.
Since her stroke, she has been struggling financially to ensure her house payment and utilities are
paid. In early January, her hot water tank busted and destroyed her bathroom floor setting her
back financially even more. She is also having problems with her air conditioner. Her disability income is limited and barely covers cost of living.
Proceeds will go to home repairs.
