BHS All-Sports Boosters Holding Annual Membership Drive

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on July 24, 2012

The Bridgeport High All-Sports Boosters Organization is holding its annual membership drive for the 2012-2013 school year. Membership dues are $25.00 per family.  The Boosters are encouraging all friends and parents of BHS athletes to join.  Names of members joining by August 11 will be included in the Bridgeport Indians football program.

Membership entitlements include: an invitation to attend monthly meeting and become an active participant in the BHS All-Sports Boosters; the opportunity to purchase discount season passes for all home football games; the opportunity to purchase a parking pass to park in the lot in front of the field that designates your priority parking, which is good for all home varsity regular season football games; and the opportunity for student athletes to apply for the BHS ALL Sports Boosters Scholarship.

Those wishing to join may return your membership form to Jennifer Dodrill by mailing it to: Bridgeport High School, All-Sports Boosters Club, Post Office Box 1101, Bridgeport, WV  26330.

Members will be able to pick up season tickets and parking pass August 18 during Bridgeport High School’s Open House.  If unable to attend, season passes will be mailed to your home before the first home football game.

Last year the Booster Organization raised more than $30,000 with its memberships, concession sales, and various fundraisers. This money helps Bridgeport High School to fund all sports: to pay for meals for student athletes during out-of-county sporting events; to pay ticket and game workers for both football and basketball games; funding of the Larry Burner Memorial Scholarship; funding the BHS All-Sports Boosters Athletic Scholarships: as well as contributing to the video scoreboard and maintaining the concession stands.
