Farmers Market Vouchers Available

An initiative by the State of West Virginia, farmers market vouchers are available to residents age 60 and over, who meet monthly income guidelines of $1723 (one person) or $2,333 (two persons).
Eligible locals can receive ten $2 coupons which can be used to purchase West Virginia produce at Bridgeport and Clarksburg Farmers Markets, located at Charles Pointe and Jackson Square, respectively.
“This has been a great help to a lot of people,” said Libby Davis, outreach coordinator, Harrison County Senior Citizens Center, Inc.
Vouchers can be picked up at the Harrison County Senior Center, 500 West Main Street, Clarksburg, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Members of various Senior Citizens Satellites can get vouchers at their monthly meetings, Davis said.
The vouchers are available through the month of July.
