West Virginia University's social media accounts, including Twitter recently recognized several of its football players as part of programs under new Coach Neal Brown. The team announces weekly "Workout Warriors" and also a weekly "Academic Student of the Week."

The team selected four members for the Workout Warrior status, which goes to players excelling in offseason workout programs. Junior redshirt fullback Elijah Drummond was named as one of the week four winners. He was joined by James Gmiter, Jake Long and Deamonte Lindsay for the week.

On the Academic Student of the Week honor, sophomore redshirt offensive lineman Noah Drummond was the winner. Drummond was the sole selection for the week by the West Virginia coaching staff.

Both Elijah and Noah Drummond were standouts for the Bridgeport football team and both earned preferred walk-on status invitations to the Mountaineers. More than once, Elijah Drummond has been awarded a scholarship for the semester and last year he saw action in more tha one contest for the Mountaineers.

Congratulations to both players for representing WVU and their alma mater in excellent fasion.
