Each year, the Bridgeport High School Dance Ensemble wraps up the year with a showcase performance. That event is Friday night at the BHS auditorium. An Evening with the Arts begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free of charge, but donations will be accepted and utilized by the group during the 2018-19 school year. 

 

Two numbers to be performed by the ensemble were choreographed by alumni.

 

"One dance was choreographed by Lindsay Knight and Autumn Fiest and the other piece was choreographed by Kylie Frame," said Alicia Kinsey, ensemble director. 

 

Kinsey said she's proud of her former students, utilizing their choreography skills and giving back to the dance program and that it's rewarding to work with them as adults. 

 

Members of this year's BHS Dance Ensemble are Heather Burd, Victoria Catania, McKenna Eddy, Taylor Frame, Madison Hess, Alexis Miller, Megan Murray, Kaylee Smith, Myiah Snider and Amiya Tennant. 

 

Also performing will be Studio 9 Dance Academy and In Step Dance and Fitness. Kinsey's third block dance class will also make an appearance. Artwork of Miss Courtney Rankin's BHS art classes will be on display in the lobby.
