Bridgeport High School Danceline Makes Clean Sweep at County Competition; First in All Categories

At the Harrison County Danceline Competition held Saturday, March 4 at Robert C. Byrd High School, Bridgeport High School received first places across the board. In addition to winning each category of dance – kick, hip hop, jazz, pom and open, the girls also received first place overall and the judges’ pick award. 
 
Also participating were Lincoln, Liberty and University high schools. Bridgeport and Lincoln were the only schools that entered every category of competition. 
 
Coached by Terri Kress, the team consists of  Seniors Co-Captain Autumn Fiest, Co-Captain Sarah Momen and Lindsey Knight; Juniors Erica Balon, Victoria Catania, Taylor Frame, Kenzie Kress, Sophie Lopez, Kimberly Morris and Madison Smith; Sophomores Grace Ebert, Madison Hess and Megan Murray; Freshmen McKenna Eddy and Sophia Duarte.
 
Saturday’s competition was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Clarksburg.
