Inspired by Her Famous Grandmother, Carol Hart Featured in One-Woman Art Show

Carol Hart’s earliest memories include art. Whether drawing at home or painting with her famous grandmother, nothing filled her soul like
art.  That feeling never went away and now Hart will be showing some of her newest works at the Clarksburg Library nearly forty years after her grandmother Justina “Tini” Hart had her own one-woman show there.

Many are familiar with Hart’s works displayed in Provence Market, owned by her sister Anne Hart.  For those who are new to Carol Hart’s work, she will be displaying abstract and expressionism styles along with murals, largely inspired by memories with “Tini.”

“The pieces at Provence Market are in Picasso and Van Gogh style,” she said.  “The one-woman show at the Clarksburg library will showcase some of the other inspirations throughout my career.”

“Tini” Hart was a world-renown artist who was featured in many books and galleries and was notable among the prominent art community of the twentieth century.  Her last show was in New York City as the age of 85 and her career was a huge influence on all her granddaughters.

Carol Hart’s show will be held at the Clarksburg Library from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on September 21 and 22.  Featured works are the inspiration of color, emotion and balance, including 11 original pieces.
