City Faces in Different Places

By Hannah Edwards on December 31, 2017 from City Faces via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Please take a minute to meet this week’s City Face, Chuck Steele, sponsored by Higinbotham & Higinbotham, PLLC.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport?  My entire life except for a 7 year stint in Morgantown for college and a 3 year stay in Charlotte,
North Carolina following law school.

Where are you originally from?  Bridgeport.

Are you married? No.

Children?   Yes.   Two daughters.  Taylor is a 19 year old freshman at WVU.  Rachel is a 15 year old sophomore at Bridgeport High School.

What is your favorite color?  Blue.

Where do you work?     I am a partner with my brother, Tom, at Steele Law Offices.

Favorite Bridgeport spot?  Probably the friendly confines of a chair while visiting my parents who also live in Bridgeport.   A close second place would be the lake trail during an early fall morning with the fog hovering over the water.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?  Mountaineer Field and the WVU Coliseum.

Favorite place outside of WV?   Hilton Head, S.C. with a second place nod to Cozumel, Mexico

Favorite restaurant?      Provence

Best childhood memory?  Playing whatever sport you could name, and some you can’t, at all hours of the day and night on Long Street with the Hogan’s, Criss’s, Hartzell’s, Forren’s, Baker’s, and Hefner’s.

Favorite musical group?  The yet to be formally discovered duet of Taylor and Rachel Steele in my car.  When I join in – we totally jam.

Pets?   Yes.  1 dog.  Socks.  He is the most athletic member of the family by a large margin.

Hobbies?  Anything sports-related; reading; writing.

Interesting fact about you?  Nothing to speak proudly about – except an incredible two year run as a Jerry West Basketball Coach for a girls team when I went 0-14 my first year and 16-0 my second year.  Has to be a record of some sort…
