How long have you lived in Bridgeport?  I have lived in Bridgeport  56 of my 59 years.  I lived for 3 years, after graduating from WVU, in the Pittsburgh & Washington, PA area.

 

Where are you originally from?  I was born & raised here in Bridgeport.

 

Children?   Yes, I have 3 WONDERFUL children—1 AWESOME son, Adam & 2 FABULOUS daughters, Danielle & Andrea.  And I am soon to welcome my 1^st grandchild.

 

What is your favorite color? I have always loved red-violet.        

 

Where do you work?  I work at Yankee Candle in the Meadowbrook Mall.

 

Favorite Bridgeport spot?  My favorite place to be in Bridgeport is at my home.

 

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? My favorite spot out of Bridgeport would be Blackwater Falls year round, but especially in October because of the memories of my grandmother and the many trips we made to go leaf peeking for her birthday!!  However, in the past 3 years, I have discovered Shepherdstown, a WV eastern panhandle small-town gem!   Although my daughter Andrea will be graduating this May, Shepherdstown may remain our meeting place and move to my #1 favorite spot outside of Bridgeport.   

 

Favorite place outside of WV?  My favorite place outside of WV would be Pittsburgh, PA because of the musical theater, the Pirates, the Penguins, the many different restaurants, and the airport that can take me anywhere!

 

Favorite restaurant? I always enjoy Minard’s in Clarksburg.

 

Best childhood memory? Because I am 1 of 7 children, I enjoyed going overnight by myself to my grandparents.  We played cards, drank chocolate milkshakes and had great breakfasts.

 

Favorite musical group?  I enjoy all different kinds of music, but am bad with names of groups or individuals singing or playing.

 

Pets?  I have 2 pets—Jack is my 12 year old border collie/germen shepherd who thinks he is a puppy, and Cleo is my 11 year old all black cat who thinks she is the queen.

 

Hobbies?  I love to travel and hope to visit all 50 states; I enjoy getting together with my forever friends, in which we have known each other since Jr. High School; I also enjoy getting together with my new friends & co-workers; I love my LARGE family & enjoy getting together for Birthdays(which are many), Holidays & Great Family Celebrations!!

 

Interesting fact about you? I live in the house my dad had built in 1954. He knew a “new” elementary school was to be built at the end of the street.  I do NOT think he had predicted that the Middle & High Schools would also be built at the end of the street.  But it has worked well for my children & me!
