City Faces in Different Places

By Hannah Edwards on March 11, 2018 from City Faces via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Please take a minute to read about this week’s City Face, JD Lister.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? My entire life, nearly 31 years

Where are you originally from? Born and raised in Bridgeport

Are you married? Yes, I've been married to my lovely wife, Abigail, for nearly two years. She's a pediatric occupational therapist

Children? None, just a fur baby

What is your favorite color? Forrest green or black

Where do you work? I teach AP Psychology, AP US Government, and social studies at Bridgeport High School

Favorite Bridgeport spot? Main Street on Light Up Night or Almost Heaven Desserts

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Cooper's Rock

Favorite place outside of WV? Harry Potter World at Universal Studios, Orlando

Favorite restaurant? Too many! If I have to pick in town it's Mountaineer Grille. However, you can't go wrong with Oliverio’s, Meagher’s, or Mia!

Best childhood memory? I always think about snow days and sled riding with all my friends in Lakeland Terrace, where I grew up. We would sled all morning, then take a break and someone's parents house, where we would be fed and warmed up. I fondly remember the late Evelyn Miller's hot chocolate. Then we would head back out until we froze or it was dinner time.

Favorite musical group? Pearl Jam

Pets? A four year old Sheepadoodle named Baloo

Hobbies? Bass guitar, playing basketball and soccer, rooting for Manchester United Football Club, going to concerts with my wife and friends, watching movies and television shows, collecting vinyl records and concert posters, playing video games when I have time, staying up on politics, and reading.

Interesting fact about you? Most people who have ever met me know this, but I'm pretty tall, 6'8"-6'9", somewhere in there.

I also played in an alternative rock band with fellow BHS grads Ben Francis and Keith Coffindaffer for years, under many different names. Dr. John Martino and Lincoln grad Beau Handley were also involved for a while.
