The Benedum Civic Center ballroom was a sea of pink as the GFWC Junior Woman’s Club of Bridgeport hosted a “Tutus and Tiaras” mother-daughter tea party Sunday afternoon.
Attendees enjoyed fancy finger foods, dance lessons, cookie decorating, a dress-up station and photo booth and crafts with plenty of sparkle.
Another highlight was the drawing for American Girl Doll of the Year “Isabelle.” The winner was Isabel Gray Cann, who was delighted. A second prize drawing was for the American girl dance barre and case, which was won by Michelle Leonard.
Assisting with the event were members of the Bridgeport Juniorettes. Approximately $1,000 was raised, which will be utilized by the host club for ongoing projects to benefit the community. Included is the awarding of a college scholarship to a Bridgeport High School graduate.

Kudos to the Junior Women for a spectacular event and a special shout-out to the Juniorettes that helped as well. These young ladies are positive role models for all the little ones that enjoyed this event. All of you should be very proud. Can't wait to see how you top it next year! LOL.
