By Trina Runner on July 16, 2017 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

With the cancellation of last month’s Main Street Monday due to weather, July’s event is set to be epical, filled with vendors, entertainment, and animals.  Hosted by Create Bridgeport+Clarksburg, Main Street Monday will be held on July 17 from 5:30-7:30pm on Main Street in Bridgeport.  The event is held the third Monday of each month and provides extended shopping hours, activities for families and special attractions.

On Monday, the Benedum Civic Center will be featuring a vendor showcase in the auditorium.  Vendors will include Park Lane Jewelry, Arbonne, Looking Glass Consignments, LipSense, NuSkin Whitening Paste, Pink Zebra Melts, Thirty-One, LuLaRoe, and Mary Kay.

The Civic Center will also have kittens from the Harrison County Humane Society on site for adoption and cuddling.  Not to exclude those who love reptiles, the West Virginia DNR’s Jim Fregonara will be on hand with snakes, lizards and more, educating and entertaining the crowds.
Right across the street, families can stop for dinner at the food booth provided by Meagher’s Irish Pub.   A Pulled Pork Barbeque sandwich, crisps and a drink is only $6 and will be available in the lot beside the Chandler Building.

Massage Therapy Headquarters will be offering $10 chair massages, fresh lemonade and aroma therapy nasal inhalers and will also have a drawing for two 60-minute massages.

Holistic Health and Wellness Center will feature free Reiki healing demonstrations, Kindred Vibes Crystal Sound and Healing, and continuous demonstrations of crystal singing bowls.  They will also be offering 10% off all jewelry during Main Street Monday.

Kids can explore a real fire truck at the Bridgeport Fire Department on Monday evening and then stop by Expressions Hair Salon for free balloon hats. The salon will also be offering $10 off any $50 Paul Mitchell purchase during Main Street Monday. Starving Artist will host a free outdoor rock painting activity for the kids and Almost Heaven Desserts will have delicious sweets to finish up the evening.
