Antero Resources and WDTV Seek Jefferson Award Nominations

Antero Resources and WDTV are partners in the Jefferson Awards Foundation which regularly recognizes and celebrates volunteerism. Volunteers who go above and beyond - making a true difference in their communities - are chosen monthly to receive the Jefferson Award. 
 
Nominations are currently being taken. Do you know someone in your North Central West Virginia community who is deserving? 
 
Read about just a few of the recent Jefferson Award winners:
 
Devra Deems, a retired school teacher now dedicates her time to public service, from serving as a volunteer tutor to donating hours to the Preston County American Red Cross and Rails to Trails. She also - with her Labrador Retriever - visits a nursing home in her community to work with the pet therapy program.  
 
With a background in EMS, Steve Wykoff has for several years been involved in the Upshur County community's CERT organization and has logged hundreds of hours with the Buckhannon Police Department's Volunteers in Police Service “VIPS.”
 
Gilmer County residents Scotty and Bobbi Nicholson purchased an elementary school to create “The Thomas Center,” a safe haven for children of families facing economic hardship. They even provide transportation.
