For the third consecutive year, the Derek Hotsinpiller Fallen Stars Memorial 5K Law Enforcement Challenge trophy was presented to FBI Police Scott Austin and James Johnson. The Derek Hotsinpiller Fallen Stars Memorial 5K is held annually in June to celebrate the life of the U.S. Deputy Marshal who lost his life Feb. 17, 2011, in the line of duty. Funds raised through the race and other fundraising efforts benefit the scholarship fund, which provides scholarships to graduating Harrison County seniors pursuing education in law enforcement and criminal justice.
