Harrison Miller Named 2017-2018 Special Olympics Male Athlete of the Year by Big 12 Conference

Clarksburg’s Harrison Miller has been named 2017-2018 Special Olympics Male Athlete of the Year by the Big 12 Conference.
 
Every year, the Big 12 chooses a male and female Special Olympics participant for the state-wide award. This year, Harrison Miller, a participant of Special Olympics West Virginia, was one of the recipients chosen for the award. Harrison, along with his family, have been invited to The Big 12 Championship Football Game on Dec. 2 for an on-field presentation.
 
Harrison has been participating in basketball, bowling, football and softball for the Special Olympics West Virginia program for nine years. In 2014, Harrison went on to compete in Special Olympics National Games, and represented Special Olympics West Virginia, bringing home the gold medal in bowling. Harrison has also won three state championships in football, two in softball and two in basketball. He is also captain of his football and basketball teams. 
 
Harrison is a 2016 graduate of Liberty High School and is enrolled at United Technical Center as a post-secondary student in the masonry program.
