Photos: "Gold Rush" Stocking Stops in Bridgeport

By Ben Queen on April 07, 2019 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

On Saturday, officials with the DNR made a stop in Bridgeport to stock Hinkle and Deegan Lakes with plenty of golden rainbow trout. The stocking at more than 55 lakes and streams across West Virginia took part this past week. The lakes in Bridgeport were among the last stops of the six days of stocking.

According to DNR officials, approximately 40,000 golden rainbow trout will be released statewide. The DNR is inviting those fishing to enjoy the addition not only to Hinkle and Deegan Lakes, but other bodies of water statewide. They also will need a fishing license.
