Police Make Underage Drinking Arrest following Report of Brandishing

Following an early afternoon report of brandishing on Rt. 50 East, Bridgeport Police apprehended a carload of young people at Bridgeport’s Speedway. There were ultimately no charges made regarding weapons.
“They had airsoft guns and they probably couldn’t have still been charged, but the report was made by someone who was just driving by, who alerted police,” said Bridgeport Police Chief John Walker.
There were charges involved with the apprehension, however. Those charges involved underage alcohol consumption, Walker said.
