Thrasher Group Donates Thousands of Items to Local Food Banks
By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on November 24, 2017
The Thrasher Group collected and distributed over 4,000 non-perishable food items and $800 in monetary donations to food banks throughout the region. The employee-led effort was spurred by friendly competition of which office floor or location could collect the most items. With bragging rights on the line, the group more than doubled last year’s company food drive. Additionally, employee monetary donations were matched by Thrasher dollar for dollar.
“It was a truly fantastic effort by everyone,” said Chief Executive Officer Chad Riley. “I’m thankful to be associated with such a great group of talented people who make positive contributions to the communities where we live and work.”
Locally, the items were distributed to the Clarksburg Mission, Clarksburg Salvation Army, The Mustard Seed in Clarksburg, Upshur County Parish House, Marion County Soup Opera, and Scott’s Run Settlement House in Morgantown.
Thrasher’s other office locations distributed their items to local food banks.
