He wowed on the stage at Bridgeport High School and now Aaron Harris’ talent is featured on the stage as part of the theatre troupe of West Virginia Wesleyan College.  For two weekends, fans from this area will have the chance to see Harris featured in a murder mystery dinner theatre, “The Case of the Sleepwalking Pig.”

Written and directed by Greg Mach, the interactive play is about two feuding hillbilly families and an unconventional murder.  The comedy was originally written for Cass Scenic Railroad’s Dinner Theatre and has now made its way to Clarksburg and Buckhannon.

“Aaron’s specialty is bigger than life, broad characters, though, in my experience, he can play just about any role,” said Mach.  “In this play, he will be the bombastic preacher who tries to keep order between the two families once the murder takes place.”

In keeping with the theme of the pig, the dinner theatre experience will include a BBQ dinner served as the play progresses.  The audience will be rooting for the family marked on the table and will work together to solve the mystery.

“I am so excited to be a part of this play,” said Harris, who credits his Bridgeport High School experience as solidifying his love of theatre.  “All I’ve ever wanted was to tell stories and I have been blessed to do so in high school, the community and now college.”

Harris has also appeared in other plays while as WVWC and has also performed with the Vintage Theatre Company.

“The Case of the Sleepwalking Pig” will be performed on February 2 and 3 at the 88 Restaurant in Buckhannon and on February 9 and 10 at the Uptown Event Center in Clarksburg.  Shows begin at 6:30 and additional information is available at vintagetheatreco@gmail.com.
