Elks Sponsor National Drug Awareness Speaker; Parents and Community Nights This Week

The Harrison County Elks Lodge 2875 has received a grant to bring a National Drug Awareness Speaker Ray Lozano to Harrison County Schools. Harrison County Elks, in collaboration with Harrison County Board of Education along with Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, will host Ray Lozano during the week of October 2-4th, 2017. Ray will be visiting each middle & high school speaking on the dangers of alcohol and drug use, as well as bullying.
 
Ray travels nationally for the Elks, answering drug questions with middle school thru college age students. There will be a seminar each evening for parents, grandparents, community leaders, pastors, and others who would like to learn more about speaking with children. Mr. Lozano has been speaking professionally since 1990. Ray has the ability to keep his information updated. relevant and entertaining. Ray is also a certified drug prevention specialist and drug and alcohol counselor for the state of California.
 
The evening schedule for parents, community leaders is as follows. Monday, October 2nd, 2017 South Harrison High School from Tuesday, October 3 rd, 2017, Lincoln High School from 6:00-7:00pm and Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 at Bridgeport High School. We encourage all parents, grandparents, family members and ail community members to attend a seminar in your community. The information provided will be very helpful in discussing drug awareness with local youth or other groups.
