Time Travel: A Train Derailment in Bridgeport Near Old Depot and Rewinding to Main Street in Keyser

By Dick Duez on September 23, 2018 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Doe anyone recall a train derailment happening along Virginia Avenue near the old train depot that was demolished in 1983? This is a picture of the event from 1967. If anyone has any memories of it or can identify anyone pictured, please post in the comment section below.
Many downtowns were booming decades ago and Keyser was no exception. This photo, believed to be from the 1950s, shows Main Street in the city with plenty of business activity.
Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard
