Time Travel: BHS's Early 1990's Big 10 Champ Cheer Squad and Harrison County Prohibition Support

By Dick Duez on April 30, 2017 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

See anyone that looks familiar in this photo? They are members of Bridgeport's Big 10 championship cheerleading squad and the photo is from the 1992 Ki-Cu-Wa yearbook. The group is practicing in Clarksburg's former Gym One.
The date of this photo is unknown, but it's from the Prohibition era and shows local support for the act is this horse drawn wagon on West Pike Street in front of the old First Methodist Church.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard "Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at dick.do@frontier.com.
