By Dick Duez on March 19, 2017 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

This photo is from the March 1960 edition of the Bridgeport High School publication The Shawnee Powwow. It is of the BHS basketball team that took the 6-AA sectional title by beating the "Weston Minutemen" by a score of 44-42. See anyone you know? Add any information to the comment section below.
This photo is along Pike Street in Clarksburg and shows the construction of the Clarksburg Towers apartments taking place. Also, the now gone Kentucky Fried Chicken that is currently China One is shown and the former Alker Tire and Supply.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard "Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history.
