Time Travel: Bridgeport's Two State Champion Hoops Coaches and Going Back to the Skyline Drive In

By Dick Duez on April 22, 2018 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

There have only been two boys basketball state championships in Bridgeport High School history. Both coaches are shown above. Bill Kerns, left, one of the school's first-ever title in the 1990s and his assistant at the time was Bill Bennett. He was assisted at times in the 1980s by Gene Randolph, on the right, who won a title in the 2000s with the Indians.
It was one of the most popular destinations for many in Harrison County and beyond. Although it's been closed for many years, the Skyline Drive In is still a place that stirs many memories. Based on the movies being shown, this photo was likely taken in late 1985.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard
