This photo is back from 1997 during a Bridgeport City election. Shown with former City Clerk Judy Lawson, center, is precinct worker Dixie Burner, left and Monte Skinner, who is still with the city today.
Details on this photograph or rendering are skethy. However, it is believed to be of the rear entrance to a Charleston area mill - the Kanawha Woolen Mill - and is also believed to be dated from 1885.
Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard "Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at grinder12@frontier.com.
This is very interesting blog of time travel. As a business or leisure traveler, visiting Williamsburg Brooklyn, your search for a good and hospitable space comes to an end with hotels in brooklyn. You get quality service here at affordability, which happens to be a unique blend hard to find at other places. thanks
