Many years ago, a friend gave me a picture of Bob Fessler, standing behind the counter at the Green Parrot, in his Bridgeport Polce uniform, I believe Bob and Officer Woofter were most likely, The first police officers hired for Bridgeport, not sure, maybe late 40’s, early 50’s. Would love to find a picture with the cabins and the Green Parrot.

...it wads located on Main Street basically where they sell those little wooden buildings just up from Speedway. They used to have small cabins up through there for rent (wink) Bob Fessler owned the place back in the day. He had all the bar stuff with the exception of the almighty hot dog. The creek ran right under the building, One afternoon a bunch of regulars were there after work and it came a heck of a thunder storm. The creek started to rise and wisdom was heard from the bar, "hey Bob, when we float by Iren's, can we stop and get some hot dogs". ;)
