At Monday night's Bridgeport City Council meeting, Council member Dustin Vincent - on behalf of Mayor Andy Lang - read and presented a proclamation to the Bridgeport Middle School wrestling team which captured its second consecutive county championship on Feb. 6, 2019.
In addition to the team championship, BMS also had five wrestlers place first in their weight classes: Zane Wagner at 84 pounds, Brayden Thomas at 95 pounds, Brody Carnes at 102 pounds, Connor Arnett at 110 pounds and Kamar Summers in heavyweight.
The BMS wrestling team is coached by Kenneth Eddy (head coach) and Brant Carnes (assistant).
