Three days out from Sunday’s robbery incident at Super 8 Motel and detectives are trying to piece together pertinent information and identify suspects.

“We are following up on some leads and trying to follow up with the victim, look for video evidence, etc.,” said Bridgeport Police Lieutenant Gary Weaver. “We have had some people call in and give us names and we’re following up on that information.”

Sunday evening, Bridgeport Police released limited information on a robbery which had taken place around 1 p.m. at the room of a Super 8 Motel occupant.

Three individuals – one man and two women – had entered a man’s room and demanded money. It is still unclear how much – or what items – were stolen, Weaver said.

“There was just one victim and the suspects did kick the door in and make a forcible entry,” he said.

Whether the suspects were armed is still left to be determined.

The victim made the 911 call reporting the robbery and Bridgeport Police has thereafter been working with the hotel, which shared video surveillance.

Super 8 is located on Barnett's Run Road, behind Burger King, close to Meadowbrook Mall.

If you recognized these suspects, have any information about the incident or who may be involved, please contact Bridgeport Police Department at 304-842-8260.
