Photos: Large Crowd on Hand as Aviation Technology Program for Harrison County Students Opens at BHS

Dozens of local officials, educators and students were at Bridgeport High School Wednesday as the Harrison County Board of Education held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the beginning of the Harrison County Academy of Aviation Technology. The goal of the academy is to enable students from across the county to begin studying aviation as early as ninth grade.
Rafe Snell, director of the program, said this will introduce students to the field of aviation with the goal of preparing them to enter the workforce or a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved program.
