Bridgeport Police, Fire and Emergency Services departments responded to a one-vehicle accident on I-79 shortly before 1 a.m. today.

 

It was near mile marker 125, under the Jerry Dove overpass, where a white Ford pickup was traveling northbound and slid on the snow-covered interstate. The vehicle thereafter went off-road and rolled. Bridgeport Fire/EMS transported one patient, the driver, to United Hospital Center. There were no other occupants in the vehicle, which was towed from the scene by Dan Riggs Towing.

 

Bridgeport Police is investigating the incident.
