Road Closures, Traffic Delays Expected at Downtown Salem Exit Monday and Tuesday

The West Virginia Division of Highways advises motorists that there will be a road closure on U.S. 50 westbound at the Downtown Salem Exit beginning at 8 p.m. Monday, July 9 through 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 10.
The Downtown Salem Exit (Westbound) will be open. U.S. 50 both westbound lanes will be closed. U.S 50 Eastbound lane will be open.
The Downtown Salem Exit will be open to detour traffic. The exit ramp has a lane restriction of 16 feet. All super-wide loads will NOT be permitted to use the Downtown Salem Exit to detour through the City of Salem.
The purpose of the closure is an emergency deck repair on U.S. 50 Westbound lanes. Please note that inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time for their commute.
