On Friday , June 6, 2014, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department's Street Crimes and Drug unit (SCAD) arrested Debra Kay Toothman, age 56, of Wilsonburg for two drug related felonies; Delivery of hydrocodone and possession of hydrocodone with intent to distribute. Toothman's arrest is the result of an undercover buy/ bust operation conducted by the SCAD unit.

Late Friday afternoon, Toothman told an undercover SCAD agent to meet her near the Wilsonburg Baptist church where she sold the agent 100 hydrocodone pills for $990 in 'mark' currency. After buying the hydrocodone pills, the undercover agent departed the area and a SCAD arrest team moved in and apprehended Toothman who still had the $990 of 'marked' currency on her person. In addition to the 'marked' currency, Toothman had 20 more hydrocodone pills with her, which she intended to sell.

Toothman was arraigned before Harrison County Magistrate Warren 'Gizzy' Davis who set her bond at $100,000. Toothman is currently lodged in the North Central Regional Jail.

Hydrocodone is a schedule III controlled substance and is commonly used for pain management.

The SCAD unit consists of Deputies from the Harrison County Sheriff's Department and a Special Investigator from Prosecutor Joe Shaffer's Office and is supervised by Chief Deputy Jeffrey J. McAtee.
