State Police Say Woman in Neighboring County Dead as Result of Accidental Shooting Incident

According to WDTV, the shooting death of a woman in Barbour County is being investigated as an accident, State Police told 5 News.
Alexis M. McDonald, 22, of Elkins, was shot Friday at a trailer home on Island Road just outside of the Junior town limits, investigators said.
She was driven from there to the Junior Volunteer Fire Department where first responders treated her for her injuries. She was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital via HealthNet but died there from her injuries.
McDonald turned 22 the day before the shooting.
Nobody has been charged yet in relation to the shooting.
