The Davisson Brothers and The Clarks are set to headline Frontier Days in Shinnston, which runs Aug. 22-25.

Local favorite Davisson Brothers will be performing Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. after Nick Davisson and Bridgeport guitarist/vocalist Nat Frederick perform at 7 p.m. From Pittsburgh, The Clarks are slated for Friday, Aug. 24 at 8 p.m. Concerts will take place on the festival grounds next to the Shinnston Volunteer Fire Department. Admission to the festival is free.

Well known throughout the region, The Clarks got their start playing as students at IUP in the late 1980s and have released 11 albums, including the recent “Madly In Love at the End of the World.” The Clarks have sold nearly a quarter of a million records, and have toured the country, including a stop on “The Late Show With David Letterman” in 2004.

Established in 1953, Frontier Days was celebrated in Shinnston through the late 1980s. After a hiatus of several years, the festival was brought back to life in September of 2007. In addition to daily concerts, the four-day celebration also includes carnival rides, games, food and more.
