Two Dead After Doddridge County Murder, Suicide

WDTV reports that two people are dead following a shooting and connected suicide, according to police in Doddridge County.
According to the Doddridge County Sheriff's Department, they were called to the Smithburg area around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, for an active shooting situation. When they got on scene, they found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds. She passed away.
The suspect took off towards Route 50. Police caught up to that suspect in Ritchie County following a pursuit. That's when, police say, the suspect committed suicide.
