The Bridgeport High School cheerleaders compete for the Region II cheer championship today in Martinsburg. Following Wednesday evening's dress rehearsal, a banquet was held at Via Veneto in the cheer team's honor. To display their best wishes to the cheerleaders who support them all season, members of the Indian football team performed a dance which can be seen in the video below. BHS is the second Class AA Region II team to take the floor in today's competition at Spring Mills High School in Martinsburg. The girls will perform a technical cheer and dance/stunting/tumbling routine.

 

Class AA competition begins at 6 p.m. Competing in Class AA, Region II (in order) are Liberty, Bridgeport, Nicholas County, Robert C. Byrd, Roane, Elkins, Lewis, Clay, Herbert Hoover, Lincoln and Braxton. 

 

The winner and runner-up will represent Region II at the state finals, Dec. 7 at Marshall University.
