William "Bill" Kerns, Long-Time BHS Teacher and State Title Winning Basketball Coach, Passes Away

Although the official obituary isn't expected until tomorrow, a representative of Burnside Funeral Home has confirmed the viewing and funeral times for former Bridgeport High School teacher and boys basketball coach William "Bill" Kerns. Kerns passed away Wednesday.
The viewing will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Burnside Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home located on Virginia Avenue.
Burial services will take place at the Bridgeport Cemetery. Kerns was 71.
