Even though the summer reading program has ended, programs continue at the library.  The library will be closed on August 1, 2019 for our annual staff training day.  This year we will have speakers on the changing world of libraries, safety and ergonomics, and database instructions.

Tea & Talk continues with Grantchester on Monday, August 5 and 12th at 1 p.m. with discussion of season 4.  Colorful Yarns meet on Tuesdays, August 6 and 20th at 6:30 p.m. for members to share ideas while the Nesting Knitters meet on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. throughout the month for members to bring current projects.

Bookin’ It returns on Tuesdays, August 13th and 27th at 2 p.m. with low-impact aerobics classes for adults and senior citizens. And Senior Live ‘N Learn features a History Alive Performance about Minnie Pearl on Tuesday, August 20th at 2 p.m.

Reading Groups continue throughout August with Book Talk’s discussion of “The Book Women of Troublesome Creek” by Kim Michele Richardson on Wednesday, August 21st at 4 p.m., Read in Red’s discussion of “Then She Was Gone” by Lisa Jewell on Friday, August 16th at 12 p.m. and our new group focusing on nonfiction with a discussion of best-seller, “Educated” by Tara Westover, on Monday, August 26th at 6 p.m.

Anyone is welcome to these discussions.  We have a limited number of copies of the books available so please ask for Joanne or Tyler at the library.
