For the second year in a row, Jimmy Cooper and Joey Burner brought in the biggest collective catch of bass and trout at the June 1 Ace of the Lakes fishing tournament at Hinkle and Deegan Lakes. The tournament is sponsored by Bridgeport Parks and Recreation and Dick's Sporting Goods. 

 

Competition for the two top spots was tight. Cooper and Burner took first place with 5 pounds, 13 ounces of bass and trout. In second place was Jeff and Justin Hileman with 5 pounds, 6 ounces and in third place was Jim Eddy and Andrew Clark with 2 pounds, 8 ounces. 

 

All anglers placing received trophies and gift cards to Dick's Sporting Goods.
