BMS Boys and Girls Soccer Teams Record First Wins of Season over Mountaineer Middle

Bridgeport Middle School girls and boys soccer teams made their debut Friday, Sept. 8, playing Mountaineer Middle. 
 
The girls defeated Mountaineer with a score of 2-0, both goals coming in the second half. The first goal was scored with 17:30 left in the game by Kaylee Reed unassisted. The second goal was scored with 3:57 remaining in the game by Gabrielle Reep from an assist by Jaylin Dodd. 
The Bridgeport boys defeated Mountaineer with a score of 5-0. The first two goals came late in the first half with 5:48 and 4:53 remaining in the half. Cameron Rubenstein scored the first goal off a corner kick by Brock Amos, the second goal was scored by Brock Amos assisted by Josh Jackson. In the second half they added to their lead with three more goals, Tyler Randolph scored off a corner by Daniel Igualada, then Daniel scored a penalty kick and 25 seconds later scored Daniel scored his second goal unassisted.
 
Both team's records are 1-0 and both play their next game on Monday, Sept. 11 at South Harrison. Girls play at 4:30 with the boys playing immediately after.
