Bonus Photos Plus Technical Cheer Video: Region II, Class AA Cheer Competition

There were moments of intensity, school spirit, elatement and just plain fun. Saturday, the WVSSAC Region II Cheer Competition took place at Robert C. Byrd High School.
 
Bridgeport High School was among 11 competitors in Class AA competition, which began at 2 p.m. The Tribe had a huge following and much team support, but the overall crowd was supportive of each performing team. While scores were being tabulated and before winners announced, all cheerleaders took the gym floor for some dancing. Soon, they were joined by fans; all who enjoyed the music and some dance moves together. Some potential future cheerleaders were even spotted during the fun. See a gallery of photos below.

BHS took the Region II, Class AA championship, with RCB claiming the runner-up spot. Both teams advance to state competition Dec. 8 at he Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
