Curtis Fleming Receives Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Bass/Laney Memorial Award

Bridgeport resident and host of Fly Rod Chronicles, Curtis Fleming was presented with the 2018 Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Bass/Laney Memorial award at the organization’s Marabou Madness event held March 9-10 in Fort Bragg, NC.
 
Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.
 
The Marabou Madness event is intended to provide participants of the PHWFF North and South Carolina region with an opportunity to come together to meet and share information with other fly anglers and veterans. Attendees take part in fly-tying demonstrations, tying contests, fly fishing and casting games. The awards ceremony recognized participants and volunteers from the Fayetteville Program and mid-south region of Project Healing Waters for their dedication and support of disabled veterans and injured military participants through their hard work and contributions to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing.
 
Fleming said he was honored and most humbled by the award.
