Freshman Football Team Wins 26-0 Over Morgantown High

The Bridgeport High School freshman football team had a big win last night, outscoring Morgantown High 26-0. The game was played at Wayne Jamison Field.
Offensively, Chapin Murphy led the squad with 100 yards and three touchdowns. Brice Haines added one touchdown and Koby Kiefer kicked for a pair of extra points. The offensive line consisting of Jimmy Allison, Mike Minor, Noah Drummond, John Thomas and Christian Olivio had a stellar performance. Olivio contributed a pair of sacks.
Sebastian Meade and Brent Sinsel were key defensive players. Meade was leading tackler. Two of those tackles caused Mohigan fumbles which the Indians recovered, one by Tyler Pitzer. Overall, the defense held Morgantown to under 100 yards and forced four turnovers.
The Indians came out strong and had a 20-0 lead at the half. The team is coached by Jeff Hathaway, assisted by BR Hathaway. The Indians face Moundsville in an away contest Thursday, Sept. 25.
