Indian Golf Team Finishes Fifth in State Tournament

After two days of play, the Bridgeport High School Golf Team landed in the fifth position at the Class AA state tournament held at Speidel Golf Course at Wheeling’s Oglebay Park.
Westside High School claimed the championship with an overall 467. Grafton took second place with a 473.
The Tribe finished with a 524; Matt Aman shooting a 157, Jeremiah Dolan a 178 and Trevor Pandher a 189.
Also competing in Class AA were North Marion (512), Robert C. Byrd (527), Scott (588), Winfield (582) and Wyoming East (508).
Class AA low medalist was Carson Proffitt of PikeView.
BHS secured a position in the state tournament after claiming the Region II victory. RCB was runner-up. Aman earned Region II low medalist honors. (Read about the regional win HERE.)
The BHS Golf Team is coached by Fred Wilhelm. Also playing in the state tournament was Hunter Friel.
