Little Indians Midget Team Caps Second Straight Year with Unbeaten Mark to Win League Championship

The Bridgeport youth football teams capped off another successful season for 2017.  For the second season in a row, the Bridgeport Little Indians Midget team finished the regular season and playoff games with an undefeated record as they entered Championship Sunday. 
November 12, 2017 was the Mountaineer Youth Football Conference (MYF) Championship Sunday, and games were held at Lincoln High School’s Stydahar Field in Shinnston.  Bridgeport’s Midget Division Championship game consisted of the top ranked Bridgeport Little Indians taking on a very talented Buckhannon team.  
Bridgeport played well throughout the contest on offense, defense and special teams to capture a 50-25 victory and finish the season with a record of 11-0 and as the 2017 MYF Champions in the Midget Division.
This marks the second consecutive season for the team to finish 11-0 and as league champions. 
The Midget Division Little Indians are coached by Head Coach Jason McCall, along with assistant coaches Jeff Hill, Ron Sandreth, Mike Hinzman, Clayce Spurlock, Gary Lhotsky, Jeff Hess, Scott Lively, and David Robinson.
Players on the squad include; Grant Lively, Tanner Hathaway, Trey Oldaker, Ryan Hall, Anthony Spatafore, Connor Sandreth, Cale Culicerto, Connor Howell, Cam Jones, Kaleb Tomblin, Mark Biafore, Nathan Lhotsky, Zach Rohrig, Landyn Reppert, Ty Martin, Taylor Thomas, Bryson Paul, Bo’kyte Ford, Dennis Higgins, Braden Bastin, Blake Robinson, Dylan Hinzman, Charlie Brazier, Connor Arnett, Josh Russell, Bryson Lowther, James Hall, John Dotson, Stevie Frazier, Phil Reed, Conner Blake, Nate Hess, Cayden Echard, John Dobbins, Cam Hess, Clay Spurlock, Brock Vincent.
The Midget Division consists of players ages 10, 11, and 12 (12 if under 135 pounds).
