The hits keep coming for West Virginia this season.

Neal Brown announced that wide receiver Tevin Bush, who has been dealing with foot injuries this season, will redshirt the remainder of the year and enter the transfer portal.

“Tevin has had a rough few months,” Brown said. “He has had lingering foot and heel issues. He’s going to redshirt the rest of this season and enter the transfer portal. I support that decision. He wants to go closer to home.”

Bush, a New Orleans native, has two years of eligibility remaining. He has 24 career receptions for 319 yards and two touchdowns as well as 29 career carries for 199 yards. His 79-yard run against Baylor last season is the longest non-scoring run in West Virginia history.

On defense, bandit linebacker VanDarius Cowan’s season is already done after only two games. Cowan underwent knee surgery after getting injured during the Iowa State game. He missed the first four games due to suspension.
