Sweat & Smiles: First Step Toward Healthier You is Asking - "Are You Willing to do Something Forever?"

By Melissa Romano on January 28, 2017 from Sweat & Smiles via Connect-Bridgeport.com

I've been feeling a little deflated lately and I asked myself if I was okay with feeling that way forever.

Let me give you a little back story; I've been in the fitness industry full-time for seven years, for one year before that I was working on an accelerated program to obtain my Professional Certificate of Personal Training and for two years before that I spent a significant amount of time while in college seeing specialists, going to conferences, researching and implementing fitness into my own life in hopes of mending and maintaining my back problems. In turn, fitness provided me a way of mending and maintaining most of life's problems.

Over the last decade I've evolved with fitness and the way we workout, I've moved my programs online and I've developed an app so that I could train people more efficiently and cost effective and in all that time one thing has never wavered:

I am committed to the truth.

Because fitness is such a big piece of who I am, I'm one of the first people approached when a new product, trend or diet hits the market and I've always asked myself the same question: "is this something I could do forever?" Because I'm in this for the long haul. Like my commitment to truth I'm committed to myself.

If I am implementing a change I'm in it for good. Feeling deflated is not something I'm willing to feel forever. Being better, happier and healthier is and the first step to getting there was asking myself, "is this something I can do forever?"

Sweat & Smiles,
Melissa
