A country music tradition many associate with West Virginia, but is actually done in Ohio may be coming to an end after decades of major entertainment. According to their Web site, Jamboree in the Hills will not be putting on a show in 2019.

That will mark the first time since 1977 that the event has not taken place. The Jamboree's Web site posted the following:

"Jamboree in the Hills will be on hiatus for 2019 while we consider options regarding the future of the Belmont County, OH festival site.

"We will provide an update when more details are available.

"We are grateful for the community support since the festival's inception."

The event has drawn some of the biggest names in country music, while also feature artists from other genres. The Jamboree generally draws more than 100,000 spectators. The 2018 show, which may or may not be the last, ran from July 19-22.
